Connect Your Exchange
Before You Start
- Prepare your exchange API credentials (API Key, API Secret, and Passphrase if required).
- Ensure the API has permissions for Futures trading (Read + Trade). Do not enable Withdrawals.
- If your exchange supports IP whitelisting, add the platform IPs for best security.
Step-by-Step: Add Your API Key
- Click the profile icon in the top-right corner.
- Select Settings.
- On the Settings page, the first tab lets you adjust copy-trade settings for each supported provider.
- Open the second tab: Edit API Connection.
- Choose your exchange from the dropdown.
- Enter the API details provided by your exchange:
- API Key
- API Secret
- Passphrase (only if your exchange requires it, e.g., OKX/Coinbase)
- Click Update to save and test the connection.
ℹ️ After you click Update, we verify the credentials by checking your Futures account balance.
Validation Behavior
- If a valid Futures balance is detected, your API connection is marked as active.
- If there is no balance in the Futures account, the test will fail.
📌 Tip: If the test fails due to zero balance, transfer a small amount to your exchange’s Futures wallet/sub-account and try again.
Troubleshooting
- Invalid key/secret/passphrase: Regenerate on the exchange and re-enter carefully.
- Wrong exchange selected: Ensure the dropdown matches where you created the API key.
- Insufficient permissions: Enable Read and Trade for Futures on the API key.
- Futures not enabled or zero balance: Enable Futures and fund/transfer to the Futures wallet.
- IP whitelist: Add the platform IPs if your key is restricted by IP.
- Time sync issues: Make sure system time is synced (NTP) if your exchange enforces timestamp validation.
Security Notes
- Never enable withdrawal permissions on trading API keys.
- Rotate or delete unused API keys regularly.
